I had no experience with Unix going in, but I was able to build up from my knowledge in languages like Python and PHP while learning my way around Unix.
What I wish was different I wish I had been more involved with the general order of things, whether that was meetings or phone conferences. I had my tasks as an intern and knew how my deliverable played a role in the team's objectives, but learning more about the different projects happening on my team would have added to my experience there.
